This week in air force sch.
We were given a topic to discuss on. "Annabel Chong" was our topic. We were suppose to discuss more abt the moral and ethical issues and how it were to affect singapore. We took turns to give our opinion and dabate a lil. If you do not already know, Annabel Chong became famous for setting a record for having sexual intercourse with 251 men under 10 hrs. Hmm. So is she a national hero or a national disgrace. Some of us felt that, there is nth disgraceful abt this. People are focusing too much on the sex issue. They should look at the course and effect of the issue. Sex is jus a mean of achieving her ideals. So what is she trying to prove? That female can be dominant in sexual issues too? That her gang bang raped in her younger days was nothing? That she wanna make a name for herself? Some argued she could do it in a different manner. Singing perhaps, like William Hung. So why not sex? Are we being too conservative over this? Like i said, sex is just a medium for her goals. Its like running a marathon under a certain time. There was a scene in Dan Brown's Da Vin Ci Code. A Grandfather was a leader for a pagan religious sect. He had sex with a lady in front of numerous worshippers. Its their way of connecting to god. Here comes course and effect again. Who cares about the sex. At the end of the day, it still boils down to individual perspective. Its how we look at it. My instructor brought up a point. Singapore is constantly trying to promote safe sex, so ain't this whole issue a contradiction and bad example for the younger generation. Well, what do u guys have to say?
The rest of the week was basically studying, studying and more studying. Well today we did play musical chair though! haha. And i m the champion! together with another of my coursemate. heh. Talk abt re-living our childhood. The weekend is here and spirits are getting high =)
