been so busy chilling or so lazy ... theres no time to blog ... well wed was a gd day. fun and a great experience. went to kel's to get some mixer and baking pan. headed down to bujit panjang plaza to buy all the ingredients for the cake and for cooking dinner.

jus to fill u guys in .. thurs is my mum's bday, so i decided to bake a cake for her. well its my 1st time baking. we headed down to gav's and started on 'project:baking cake'. We started off by making the sugar syrup, den the cake and lastly the mousse. oh, i made a chocolate mousse cake ! the sugar syrup was ez to make. cake was quite ok, 'cept the recipe was meant for 2 cakes and kel forget to halved the flour amount ..making the dough sooo starchy sticky and difficult to mix .. looks more like hardened kueh. so we added more of the other ingredients to make it proper again ... thanz to gav wonderful mixing skills. it was pourable and we managed to bake the cake. we were suppose to use kahlua liquer for the mousse, however we cant find it in the supermarket, thus we used some left over vodka instead.

the outcome was quite ok i guess .. haha ..passable ... the cake did not rise enuff, and it was a bit sticky .. but it still taste like heaven ... yumyum !! lol. i'll post a pic of it when i got the time. after tt we prepared dinner. Royal fried rice and heaven's soup ... simply delicious ! thanz to my excellent culinary skills. haha. i did most of the preparation of the food, kel did mainly cooking and gav gave us lots of support by luffing his head off ... haha .. of cos gav played his part too .. dinner for wonderful man ... thanz to our secret recipe which we use for the soup, rice and other dishes .. haha ... well, we r thinking of opening our very own bakery and restaurant soon. so do pls support !!=)

after dinner we went over to my place to give my mum a pleasant surprise ! she said it was passable, so its alright. well ... our next attempt will be the cheese cake or maybe ice cream cake ! lol...
